Registered Charity No 1049984
Animal Charity Fair. We are holding our first fair on Saturday 20th May 2023 at Hoghton Village Hall, Blackburn Old Road, Hoghton, PR5 0SG. The fair will be open from 10.30 to 15.00 and there will be stalls raising funds for various animals including cats, dogs, exotic pets, hedgehogs, small furries etc. Raffle, tombolas, light refreshments. Admission 50p, children free. If successful we are hoping that this will become a twice yearly event in May and November each year. If you run a small, independent animal rescue/charity and would like a stall please contact us at fair@srpcc.co.uk or phone/text 07888 131315.
The charity began life as the welfare arm of the South Ribble Pet Cat Club and became a separate registered charity in October 1995. Whilst we did do some rescue work in the early years, sadly, due to lack of facilities and helpers we had to give that side up many years ago and we now concentrate on offering financial assistance with veterinary costs in certain circumstances. We mainly help to pay vet bills for stray cats in need of veterinary attention, but from time to time can also offer help to benefit claimants having difficulty paying vet bills for their cats and currently have a scheme offering financial help to pensioners struggling to pay vet bills for any pet.
Funding is primarily by donations plus whatever the Charity can raise by fundraising sales or events. Donations of any size are, therefore, always welcomed with grateful thanks and can be made by cheque or postal order made payable to SRPCC and sent to our main address- or by Paypal (carolw19581944@gmail.com) please pay as "Friends and Family" to avoid any fees being payable.
Another source of income for us is from the sales of Christmas cards, calendars and other "purrchandise" - mugs, coasters, Christmas tree baubles, mouse mats, keyrings etc. For the current catalogue please click here.
To contact us for enquiries, assistance or to make a purrchandise order please email charity@srpcc.co.uk or telephone 07888 131315.
